He has worked in the Xavier Institute of Communications, Mumbai, in media research and communication training from 1979 to 2009, retiring from there as Director [1998-2009].
From 2009 to 2024, he lived at Campion Residence, Colaba, and wrote regularly on matters of religion and current affairs for the UCA news agency, Bangkok. He also began a career as a writer, having published three novels and three collections of short stories, most of them with Notion Press, Chennai.
This is his third time at St Mary’s: he was here as a regent [teacher] in 1967-68, and later as Rector [1989-95].
